Privacy Policy

AK Exteriors — the registered business name of Hamza Khaled (Sole Trader) — is bound by the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). This policy explains what we collect, why, where it is stored and what you can do about it.

What we collect

When you request a quote we collect your name, email address, the address of the property to be cleaned, the details you tell us about the work, and any photos you choose to upload. A phone number is optional and the form works without it. We do not ask for a date of birth, an identity document, or anything else we do not need to do the job.

Photos

Location metadata (EXIF) is stripped from every photo on upload. Photos attached to a quote request are deleted 90 days after the request is closed. Photos taken on a job are kept for two years as a record of the work.

Where your information is stored

In Australia. Our database and file storage run in the Sydney region. Two overseas service providers are involved in specific steps: Stripe processes card payments, and Resend delivers our email. We do not sell personal information to anyone.

IP addresses

We do not store your IP address. We store a salted one-way hash of it, which lets us limit abuse of the quote form but cannot be turned back into an address.

Advertising and analytics

With your consent we use Google Analytics 4, Google Ads and the Meta pixel to understand which advertising brings us customers. Where you have consented, we may send Google and Meta a one-way hashed version of your email address so they can match a completed job back to an ad click. A hashed email can still be linked to an account by those platforms, so we treat it as personal information and tell you about it here. You can decline all of this in the cookie banner and still request a quote.

Automated decisions

Every quote is priced by a person. We do not use automated decision-making to set your price or to decide whether to serve you.

Marketing email

Transactional email — your quote, booking confirmation, appointment reminder and invoice — is part of the service you asked for. Anything promotional requires your consent and carries an unsubscribe link that we action immediately.

How long we keep it

Financial records (quotes, bookings, payments) are kept for seven years as required by Australian tax law. Other personal information is kept while you are an active customer and for seven years after your last job.

Access, correction and complaints

Email akexteriors02@gmail.com to ask for a copy of what we hold, to correct it, or to ask us to delete it. We respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

Data breaches

If a breach is likely to cause serious harm we will notify you and the OAIC as required by the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.
